Slow start to the month with 14 players taking a seat.

Play was good and we had still had 2 full tables by the break, we then lost out first player David Kilpatrick when he went all-in with trip 9’s to be called by Gerry Frew with A – 4 D. with 2 diamonds on the board and a Ace on the turn it was a easy call by Gerry. The river sealed the fate of David by providing another diamond….unlucky you couldn’t have lay down the trips!!

We lost our next few players in quick succession with Jim Reid, John Trayner and George going out at the same time. Sam Davies fell in 9th place setting up the way for the final table.

This was a great come back from Louisa who was down to 5000 chips in the final table, our once chip leader and man who picked up the bounty Alan Findlay finished in 3rd Place. A heads up battle started and within a few hands Gerry went all-in with 10 -2 to be called by Louisa with 5 – 7……not the best 2 hands but with 7 hitting the board it gave Louisa the Victory..

Well done Gerry who has only played twice in the Joker but proving to be a real contender.
